It's just all ending so fast...

I can't believe I only have 9 days left to the summer... oh so sad :(

I have had one of the best summers for as long as I can remember. The countless days spent at the beach or the pool... the evenings of cocktails with friends, endless trips to both nearby cities (AC and NY), weekends away, and lazy days at home. It has been a glorious summer, and i'm kinda excited for things that are to come during this new and exciting school year. This year is all about about ME. and I can't be more excited for the changes that are coming. I'm getting healthy, losing weight, and so focused on this new chapter in my life. I'm hearing whispers of really good things happening in the adoption community and all things are pointing in a really good direction.

But as always there is some bad with the good...

My nephew gave us a really good scare when he ended up in the hospital with a lacerated spleen on his first day of football camp. I'm really sad for him. He is an outstanding athlete. Last year as a freshman he suited up numerous times with the varsity squad because of his talent. Now he is out for the season, before it even begins. He here is in the hospital... too cool to look at the camera!! <3 him.

Keep him in your prayers... he spent nearly a week in the hospital and will go back for a CT scan this week to make sure he is still healing properly.

This weekend I went into the city for the second weekend in a row, to see a show...

PSA ahead:

DO NOT BUY TICKETS TO THIS SHOW..... IT HUGELY SUCKED. 

I have never been to such a terrible show... the kind where you kinda sit with your mouth open the whole time going "REALLY??????" "is this all it is going to be???? "SERIOUSLY???" followed by many unhappy expletives... Eh... you live and learn, always ask around before seeing a newly released show... needless to say it has already been canceled, so I'm not the only one who thought it sucked!!! The day before and after ROCKED... I had an awesome time and that made up for all the suckiness of the performance. 

And in true Kristen fashion.... when a fun planned activity goes bad... you request a Re-Do!!! (remember the vacation debacle of cruise 2009/hurricane ?... which resulted in a month later Re-do vacation at Disney... I'm all about the re-do!) I'm headed back to NYC this wed. to see this...

 

And then headed back to AC this coming weekend to stay here:

So I am smooshing in every last bit o fun that I can during these last nine days...

with the knowledge that even after that it will only get better!!!!
