A little bit less of me!

All good things must come to an end!!!

It's that time of year again and I must go back to work... TOMORROW.

I'm kind of glad to get back into a routine & have a regular paycheck. Although this summer went by really fast. I literally have not step foot in my classroom since June 22. This summer has been such a whirlwind and it has ended so abruptly. I will have some major cleaning and room set-up to do before my boys arrive Wednesday.

But, keep in mind, the majority of my boys will return from last year (3 moved on to the HS BD program), so it's really as if we just pick up where we left off. I don't have the worry of new class rosters, setting ground rules or the unknown (like most teachers preparing for day one). I believe I only have 2 new boys coming in right at the start, and I already know them. Sadly, they are the siblings of previous students and we have met on occasion. As I've mentioned before, my kids are unfortunately, products of their environments so it is common that I see siblings throughout the years. I'm really looking forward to seeing them and hoping that they have stayed "mostly" out of trouble this summer.

I'm also hoping for a much less eventful year. I'm most worried about the maternity leave my SW will be on. She is such an integral part of my success with this class. Her office is attached to my room and her presence is constant. I went through 3 before (T) stuck and not only is she now my family, she is my sanity throughout the day. We make such a great team and I will miss her very much. She will be there for Sept. but then will be out on maternity until after Easter. I will miss her, and I know the boys will miss her. But how exciting to have a new little baby enter my world. I think it's a boy... but I thought her little Gracie was a boy too, so who knows!!

So tomorrow I will be up early, on the road with the rest of the commuters, coffee in hand, ready to get this new year off and running!!

Be sure to use your new Chevy travel mug - John was ticked off that I gave you that one to take with you! ROFL!!!!

BTW - when are we meeting up again? I need to snip a lock of your hair while you sleep so I can more accurately match the color I'll soon be dyeing mine to ;)

Hope you have a great start to the new school year!
I am switching from elementary to high school this year and I am scared out of my mind. I have been in the school for the past two weeks (we don't start until this Tuesday) and still feel so much anxiety! :P
Good luck!!
