A little bit less of me!

Like I figured...

It is taking some time for things to settle down in my world... MUCH longer than any other start of a new year. But, all in good time. I have faith that my world will slow to a somewhat steady pace soon. So a quick bullet update of my new school year thus far so you can laugh at my angst. Feel free... it's what I do to keep sane. That and a good bottle of Cabernet!

  • The first week... my student who used to induce vomiting to get released from school introduced us to his new trick. It involves the nether regions, and can clear out a room faster than someone yelling fire. And I don't mean he peed....

  • Week two... Had to send my first bad boy of the year packing... not the previously mentioned one either... poo. did I say that? Anyway, A much more violent, gang affiliated lovely has already made his exit to an out of district placement with my gentle push right out the door. Don't let it hit ya in the arse... buh bye.

  • Week two con't... on my 75 mile trek home after said meeting to rid the lovely. I had a tire blowout on the major highway I take home. Fun stuff I tell ya. So many hundreds of dollars I don't have later... I too, am the proud new mommy to some beautiful twin back end pieces of rubber. Are ya catching the snarkiness of my current attitude???
(and yes, for those who asked, I really do drive 150 miles a day for work... I like to keep my distance from my students!!! And I live near a pretty incredible island beach oasis, which keeps me sane)
  • Week three... was off to a good start until today. It ended with the local police in my room, and some questioning of another gang member. Fun stuff, notsomuch.

  • TGTF and that I still have a rockin sense of humor. I'm just saying.

Have a great night... I'll be back to enlighten you with all new tales of the glamorous life of the ED teacher next week!

PS... Since this IS an adoption blog and all... I guess I should make mention of the last TWO LID dates I missed... 16 & 17 months down.... wooo whooo, blah blah blah....

I don't envy you, my dear! I did have a psycho-poop experience with a deranged first grader once. We just don't get paid enough to put up with crap like that.

Pun intended...

I'm catching the snarkiness and have to admit, I love it! AND, I thought I had a bad week ... you definitely take the cake ... unfortunately it doesn't go well with cabernet! Enjoy the weekend ......

I don't know how you get anything taught at all! After your week you deserve all the snarkiness you want! Wow, I feel so bad complaining now... =)

I hope you take full advantage of your island beach oasis this weekend to recuperate.

Shite girl....keep yourself alive and free of biohazard body fluids at work!

Yeah, I can relate to the rubber. Four all-around here. Somehow it's hard to get exited about that mondo purchase.
