A little bit less of me!

Praying for snow...

I know, I know.... one should never hope for such things... But, I would love the day off tomorrow to catch up on all things domestic! I have laundry that could clothe a family of four, dishes in the sink and a layer of dust that is unbearable. And for someone who cringes when a pillow is out of place, this is all too much for me to digest!

So... in the event that we don't get the storm that is predicted.... here it comes, are ya ready????

I left sub plans.

I have guilt even writing it.

I hardly EVER take a day off.

I'm a little scared for my boys... they don't handle these days well. At all. I have to even be sneaky when I'm doing it because if they even catch a glimpse of me getting ready to not be there they freak out. But I so need need to do it. and my hope is that even if school is not canceled, they will get sent home early.

"R" was there early again today... I can't say enough how much it warms my heart that he is coming to school regularly and so early to boot. I know the incentive may be that I feed them breakfast everyday... but if that is all it takes to get this kid to school, than YAY! He also started doing homework. And is so proud of his increasingly good grades. I love every second of it!

I just hope for the best tomorrow... for me and them!

I hope you were able to enjoy your day off. Without too much guilt. And maybe even slothing around a bit and sleeping late. :)

PS. You're such an amazing teacher. I'm in awe of you.

Mental health days ... SO necessary!!! I am COMPLETELY feeling your pain, and although I too am at home, my domestic grief is ever increasing ... the home is getting worse ... maybe I should shut off this computer ... soon!

I hope you enjoyed your day off.
Would you believe I have worked one day in the last two weeks! I have never had so many snow days. At this rate you'll be out of school before we are! A friend of mine thinks we'll be out tomorrow too because who wants to go in for one Friday! It's going to be so hard to go back to school!

Miss you!
