I have a long post about my new job swirling around in my brain that will come out soon... But for now, I just wanted to share a brief conversation I had with one of my students today.
I was working one-on-one with him because he missed part of class and needed instruction on the poem the rest of the class was working on. At that time he shared a small part of his history. His words:
"I was adopted. I wasn't always adopted, i was in foster placement which was not good and then an orphanage. One day a staff person came in my room and told me someone was here to see me. And that day I got the greatest surprise gift of my life. They wanted to adopt me. And they did."
Needless to say, I couldn't hold back the tears. But I quickly told him how wonderful that is and I composed myself so he could continue. There was more... but that's enough for here.
I love my job... love love love

I'm just getting introduced to the RQ forums and found the singles blog room. I am also single and waiting. My LID is the day before your LID!
I am starting a concurrent adoption from China. Did you know about this new program that will allow you to do this using your same dossier without losing your place in line for your nsn child?
