I'll give you a brief version of what has had me in a funk for the last month... I ran into an old friend from HS that was kind of down on her luck. I had not seen her since HS. I mentioned that i had an extra room and should she find herself in need to give me a call. That call came a day later and the next day she moved in. From that moment on I found myself living with an alcoholic who was also not very neat (huge understatement) and never, and I mean never slept. and for 5 weeks... neither did I. It ended, finally, this past weekend after I gave her 3 weeks notice in the middle of March. During that time, not one penny was offered, She ate everything I brought into the house and ran my electric bill up to unmentionable amounts. ( the whole never sleeping thing led to the television always on, my computer always on, and more lights that I can count)
I have learned that no matter how much you try to help someone... if they don't want it, your wasting your time. Sadly for someone else who could be in need, I will never make that offer again. I have never felt so displaced in my own home.
But things are returning to normal now, and I have my beautiful home back to the state of clean comfort.
Now I just need to find my witty mojo and get back to all things kristen-like!
Thanks for checking in on me... you guys are the best!
Smooches XOXO
