Busy week ahead

Last night was the bachlorette party for my friend Kelly. We had such a fun night. With the fact that we are not exactly "spring chickens" anymore, we decided on an evening of pampering, wine tasting and really good food!!! So much for the "getting in shape" this week! I'll have a new excuse next week, so stay tuned!! anyway....

Included in the bridal party, are two pregnant women, an 18yr old, and Kelly's 10yr old daughter, amongst the others. So with trying to come up with a fun evening for all to enjoy we came up with this:

We hired 2 massage therapists, one certified in pre-natal massage, to come and give everyone a much needed full body massage. It was AMAZING. I never felt so "jello" like in my life.

We hired a company called "The Traveling Vinyard" to come and teach us to be "sophisticated" wine drinkers.. LOL it was fun. She brought 5 diferent types of wine, taught us how to correctly taste and choose wines depending on the food, and then had a plethora of fun wine accessories to purchase.

We decided to make it a "pot luck" and everyone brought their favorite entree and a dessert. I brought eggplant parm (no, i didn't cook it, i ordered it) and a tray of Italian pastries. Everything was really yummy. I think a good time was had by all.

So this begins the marathon wedding week. Monday; I actually only have to go to work. Tuesday; I have a mani & pedi appt after work. Wednesday; I'm getting an airbrushed "fake tan" LOL... I don't want to be the same milky color as my dress, and the process takes ten minutes with no annoying sunburn!! Thursday; the rehersal, dinner and last minute prep stuff; Friday... the wedding! Yes folks.. Friday the 13th.. My friend is the least superstitious person I know!

So if ya don't hear from me this week... that is why!!

Enjoy your week, I'll be playing catch up next weekend!

P.s. Kate... I really enjoyed our conversation too.. thanks for callin! I'll be looking into that international plan asap!!

Wow Kristen, that is some week! Does the wedding party need an expat honorary member, I could use some pampering. Do you think after one day of working I am due it?!?! lol - just call me lazy bones!

yup, we better both get a plan - soon it will be even worst, we will have to compaire baby tales - (how much did julia eat today? do you think it is normal for a kid to stick candies in the dvd player even though they have been told 100 times not to???) yup it's only gonna get worse!

Sounds like a great way to do the bachelorette party. I'm really too old for the wild drinking, club hopping and suck-4-a-buck tee shirts. Your way sounds so much better.

I'm jealous! I always wanted to go for a massage, but I can't get past the feeling too weird to do it thing. I mean, I guess I'm too self-conscious. Maybe one day I'll get past that!
