Today was an awesome day... The retirement party that we have been planning for the last couple of weeks was this afternoon and it was PERFECT. I truly work with an amazing group of people and will really miss the ones that will no longer be there. It was a great tribute to all of them. I made it through most of my speech without crying... but I was glad I wasn't the only one in tears!! I got a few good laughs and was just glad to make it through the whole thing. I got a few really nice gifts from a parent that has been with me for the last three years. Her son is a testament to why I stuck it out so long. He will graduate tomorrow. He makes me proud, and her heartfelt card made me cry. It was a really good day. =)
I am utterly exhausted though... It has been a constant race to the finish, with the end finally in sight. Tomorrow is the last day. I will remove the last few things from my room, move my desk to it's new location and say some hard goodbyes. What a year it has been. What a different year it will be from this point forward. All good stuff.... good stuff.
Father's Day was great... we went out to breakfast and then hung out in AC. I even won a little, for once!!!
