The BIG board meeting is tomorrow night...
When I tell ya that changes are coming...
I'm talking mindnumbing changes...
Rumors are in abundance, some of them quite scary, some of them already verified as fact...
Biggest one: My Director resigned. The freaking director of the entire SP. ED. Dept. This is following the elimination of the Asst. Director's job. I work in a district that has 25 buildings and by far the largest SpEd pop in the county. And currently no one to lead it. No one that has a clue anyway... To say I'm even more thankful now with the fact that I will have a new position in Sept. is an understatement. And no... for those who will call and ask... I am NOT applying for either position. I'm not applying for any of the 15+ admin positions that are going to be filled. I know myself well enough to know that I could not work under the current administration in that capacity. There is a reason so many higher ups are leaving... and it's not just because of budget cuts.... the majority are taking jobs elsewhere.. that speaks volumes.
Some of the rumored new hires to these positions... well seriously, they make me LAUGH OUT LOUD.
Again... so thankful for the new position I will be in!
I got hired for the summer position... YAY! I was worried about that with all of the cuts. So I will be working Tues. through Fri. for 6 weeks... I'll find out what I'm teaching tomorrow. The not so great part about the summer... I just found out today (another rumor circulating, which will be confirmed tomorrow) that I will be working side by side with my Ex... reeeaalllllly? ya couldn't just try to find a job elsewhere???? Not that there's any bad blood... we talk occasional, but reeallllly? Do I have to spend a whole summer with you? sonothappy about that little rumor. imjustsayin.
I have never anticipated a Friday more than this one (when the board minutes arrive) it will be the most sought after read by everyone. Which will lead to an all day discussion of jaw-dropping changes.
I'm at a point though now where my new motto is "bring it on"!!! I'm ready to sit back and watch the drama unfold from the nose bleed seats!
CAN'T WAIT!!!! BWahhhhHahhhhhhhHahhhhhh!!!

I'm finding the longer I teach ... all I worry about is what comes in and goes on within my own four walls! I close the door and me and the kids get down to business ...
