Dark Cloud on my Head....

I am house-bound today, I have a really bad cold and no one wants to come and play. Darn germs.. they keep everyone away. And it's raining. So I'm bored, have cabin fever already (I've only been in the house less than 24 hrs!) and desperatly need something to eat, but that would involve food shopping, and if you know me, you know that is one thing I don't often do. Being single sometimes has it's perks I tell ya... All of my married friends who cook regularly for their familes usually feel the need to feed me too.. so why would I food shop? Then there are days like this, when I have absolutely no strength to even think about leaving the house, but there is NOTHING to eat!!! After much pondering, I've decided I'll order Chinese food... I could use the soup and they deliver quite quickly.
**** update... not really just a cold... I discovered spotty tonsils!! Yuck!

And now starts my rambling.... keep in mind, I'm taking lots o cold medicine!!

What a week it was though, I swear someone is messing with my Karma. I picked up my shoes (for the wedding) on Wed. They are too light. and more towards the cream side, not at all champagne. Nothing I can do now the wedding's in two weeks and i'm not taking any chances. I picked up my dress on Thurs. It looks great they had to take about five feet off of it... how tall do they think women are I ask? anyway, because they are always soooo very long, granted i'm vertically challenged, and the shop ordered a tad to large, it cost $85 just for the alterations. I'm going to be a seemstress in my next life. That was Wed and Thurs.

Friday was the topper.. Woke up with this ICK in my body, went to work because I figured I could make it through and need to save every last personal day for when I get home with my babe, Spilled my entire cup of coffee.. first all over my desk and then into my lap. I couldn't really care less at the time about the fact that I was soaking wet and brown, but my entire desk was covered in coffee. Have I mentioned that I'm one of those people who cringes at the smallest mark on my desk blotter... a tad OCD, but so annoying. It went in the garbage. Then I had been promising the kids all week that we would order lunch from our fav place in town. My kids eat in the room.. they are not allowed in the cafeteria.. so we have that luxury once in awhile. I try to do things like this a couple times a month, because they don't ever get any real "treats" often. So we order lunch... and we wait... and wait... and finally an hour after lunch was over our food came. It had the added bonus of being cold.
So all around me has been this dark cloud and I wish it would just go away. Also I think I'm also having bloggy issues again.... looks fine on my end but I think the IE people are not seeing my sidebar again... please let me know if you can't see it. Thanks!

I do, however, think my positive Karma is returning. I talked to my Aunt J today who told me last week she is getting married!!! The season of weddings continues!!! Big Congrats to her and her fiance.. and she asked me to be in the wedding. We are going to go dress shopping tomorrow, provided I can keep my nose on my face, and out for a bite to eat.

Oh... and I made a new friend today, Kate!!!
