a little venting....
I sit and wait and wait and wait some more. I have done my part, I had the Dr. appts, got the local police clearance, fingerprints for the state, employment verification, insurance verification, reference letters, blood tests, filled out the questionaires (many of them), took the IA class, wrote the autobiography, got my passport, ALL I HAVE LEFT IS THE HOME STUDY, 2 group meetings and the home visit, why oh why is it taking them so long to schedule this stuff?????? I can't send the I600A out until my HS is complete and I can't do anything else to complete it. I hate that it is taking so long, because I really like my SW, but I want to get the ball rolling and she's gotta be the one to throw it. I just feel so anxious lately and I want that feeling to go away, I'm prepared for the wait, I just want to actually start it.

You've done A LOT! Why is the SW taking so long to schedule your appointments? Meeting with my SW was one of the first things I did.
I hope she gets it together soon!
It seemed my SW took forever too. Call and suggest a date! That's what I did. But you are gettin' that paperwork done fast! And with the latest "no rule change" rumor, you are soooo good to go!! =)
You will get there and it will be worth it all. I understand the anxiety. I am having to redo things.

Poor you! I think its so frustrating when you are relying on other people isn't it?! Argh. Will say a prayer for your social worker to have a thought pop in her head 'Oh I better get Kristen's homestudy done, Julia Rae is waiting' lol
Thanks everyone... I have been having a "crabby" week.. your nice thoughts were needed. My SW said that as soon as she has at least 1 other person she will schedule the group meetings, I have to have them before the home visit.
Ginger- I admire your strength and patience you've gone through so much already, I can't wait to see Maya home!
Kate- your so funny!! I wish she would have that thought also!!!
