A little bit less of me!

Summer has officially ended..

Yesterday I said goodbye to the lazy days of being a beach bum... just for the season!! What a great Labor Day it turned out to be. The weather was perfect, spent time with friends in LBI, ate way too much and got some much needed beach time and sun bathing in. And then it was over...

Today I started school. Well I started last week but today the Kids were there too! It was a good, uneventful, business as usual kinda day. The program I teach is for the "Behavior Needs" kids so I usually have the same kids for 3 years if they make it in the program. So I started today with the same kids I left in June and we picked right up where we left off. No surprises for me and none for them. Like I said... business as usual. So that is it for today.. Must prepare those open-ended GEPA prep questions for tomorrow... only have till March. ha ha

I feel your pain, can't imagine not having the beach in my backyard. Even if I don't use, I just like knowing it's still there and it won't be replaced with snow.

Hope your year starts off great!

I envy you that you get to pick up where you left off. It's hard "breaking in" new kids! Best of luck with the school year!

P.S. What did you mean when you said you got the 1st set of fingerprints? Why two? We just got ours at USCIS. I thought that's all we needed, but maybe I'm confused!

Hi Kerrie,

I don't know if it's just NJ, or my agency, but I needed a set done for NJ state clearance for my HS paperwork. They are different than the Dossier prints done that are nationwide FBI clearance.

These are done for a state check at the same place I had to get my teaching certificate prints done. It could just be an agency thing. So you probably don't need them. Sorry to confuse you or anyone else!!!

Funny too... I was just thinking about you today... and when I checked your blog and you hadn't posted I yelled at your screen and said "you can't come back and then just leave again!!"

So I'm glad to hear from you!!

Ah yes, start drilling those facts into your kids asap! =) I came back to a caseload of 54 and have found at least 8 who need referring. It's gonna be a busy year!
