Well today is my first LID-a-versary but all I can focus on is this horrible fire. It is still burning out of control. So far my parent's were allowed back to their home, but Kelly & Jay were advised not to go back yet as the fire regained strength today and it was not safe. The winds have been so strong today which is not helping but, there is a large storm headed our way with lots of much needed rain that will help to contain the fire and wet down the structures. The most distressing part of this story is that the fire started from an F*16 mil*tary dr*ll that dropped a flare into an extremely dry section of the state causing this massive for*st fire. So far almost 15 thousand acres have burned. Thankfully not one person has been injured to this point.
I'll keep ya updated... COME ON RAIN!!!
UPDATE: As of 7:50 pm it is FINALLY raining.... this should help. Some photos from the day... (taken from APP press)

Continuing to do rain dances on the west coast in hopes that they will help to douse the fire. Very bizzare circumstances...Stay safe and glad to hear your parents are okay.
Wow, I've missed some really important posts Kristen! First, happy ONE month! That one felt so special to me. Second, it's mind blowing what is happening with these fires... and I thought the smoke was thick here... I have nothing on those photos. I hope eveyrone is okay, I need to go read your most recent post.
