A little bit less of me!

Thank you

For all your thoughts and prayers. The fire is 70% contained now. Many people are suffering losses and damages to their homes, but the fact that not one person was injured is amazing. There is never enough praise for firefighters and EMS workers. They did a fantastic job in evacuating and setting up shelters, and keeping residents safe. The worst is over, and we have them to thank.

Hi Kristen,
I am a few days behind in checking blogs and didn't realize you and your family were so close to the fires. I am glad to hear your parents were allowed back home, and that you are all OK. Happy LID anniversary too!!!

Fires everywhere these last couple of weeks! It smelled like everybody was BBQ-ing when Catalina was on fire last week. We're having a drought, so I'm afraid we've not seen the last of wildfires this year.

These fires are really disheartening. It's so dry here we are on a watering schedule for the first time that I can remember. There have been days it's been advised to stay in due to the bad air quality from the smoke. It's very scary and sad to think about.
